According to a  report by The Independent Game Developers Association (TIGA), UK games developers are increasingly relocating abroad. SCi Entertainment is the latest to go opening a new studio in Montreal, according to a Financial Times report.

The UK has long been a leader in the games industry, with companies like Bullfrog (sadly no more) and  DMA Design (originator of the Grand Theft Auto series) releasing games with innovative and interesting subject matter and gameplay mechanics.

Much of this movement is due to wage incentives and tax benefits being made available elsewhere to draw in high tech industries. (From Gamasutra.)
