Damn it! This is HARD! It really is, for once a game that fits the title perfectly. Before I get started I will state a few things: First, I have no idea how far I am or how long this game even goes and second, this review reflects on what I have done so far in the game itself.

Let’s start things off by just saying this game is basic to its’ core and offers a cool character and some interesting levels. Object of the game is to make it from the start to the finish. If you die, you start over. Pretty baisc but the levels are created perfectly if you can figure out the set path the creators made. It’s all about timing and about living. When you die, you start in a box that’s the start point. Every time you die in that level they add a tally and you know how many times you failed at the level. There are “creatures” or who knows what they are that pose as big obstacles in the game. You just need to get around them, live and make it to the end.

When you have a level completed you will progress to the next stage. Now at the main menu you can choose what level you want to increase your score on a previously beaten stage. Each level has a par time, similar to “Super Meat Boy” and it also states the time it took you in comparison to part time. That’s all there is to this game. Nothing ground breaking, but it’s definitely a game to play if you like to challenge yourself. Pick it up over at the marketplace for 80 MPS. Well worth it since Indie games are cheap anyway.

Overall Score: 6.5

Breakdown:

Music: 7 (The background music is just so fun sounding, probably my favorite part of the game)

Storyline: (Again, no story here except living)

Gameplay: 5 (Its basic, I don’t have much to do and its very frustrating at times)

Graphics: 6 (Super Nintendo graphics, but more detailed… kind of)

Overall Fun Factor: 7 (If you’re trying to kill time or just like a challenge then here you go, but not much to go on)

Final Thoughts

I like the game, but I also don’t. It’s just one of those you’ll play just to play. Granted I definitely like the character, I would like to see another game with him, but with story and such. DO IT!
