PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is probably Sony’s biggest exclusive this holiday season. It’s a Super Smash Bros.-esque fighter with recognizable (and some not-so-recognizable) characters from PlayStation games, including third-party ones. Unfortunately, developer SuperBot Entertainment announced today that PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale won’t be coming out in October. Instead, the game will release on November 20 for both the PS3 and PS Vita. The delay will allow SuperBot to polish the game further and incorporate feedback from the closed beta.
-Nick’s take: This is pretty much all that Sony has this holiday season to go up against Microsoft’s Halo 4, which doesn’t really bode well for the PS3 this holiday. Plus, without Crash Bandicoot–Sony’s biggest mascot in the original PlayStation days–my interest is almost nonexistent.
