Okami's protagonist, Amaterasu, is actually a god in wolf's clothing.

Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has the scoop on an HD remake of cult classic Okami coming to the PS3 PlayStation Network this fall.  Confirmed by Capcom, the Japanese version of Okami‘s new name translates to ‘Okami:  Magnificent Edition’ in English.  There’s no word yet on what it will actually be called in the U.S., so let’s just refer to it as ‘Okami HD’ for now since it features HD graphics.  The game will also feature PlayStation Move support when it releases this fall for $19.99 on the PSN.

-Nick’s take:  I’ve heard so many great things about Okami, but have never actually played it myself.  For those who don’t know anything about the game, Okami is a Legend of Zelda-style action/adventure game with beautiful painting-like graphics and an innovative gameplay mechanic called the celestial brush that lets you draw things on the screen to attack enemies and solve puzzles.  I think it’s about time I played this great game.
