Action horror FPS, F.E.A.R. is to get not one sequel, but two. Due to developers Monolith and publishers Vivendi parting ways, with some acrimony so I hear, Vivendi will be releasing F.E.A.R. 2 from a yet to be named developer, whilst Monolith and Warner Bros. will bring us an as yet unnamed game set in the same universe and featuring everyone’s favourite scary little girl, Alma.
In what seems to be a regular occurrence in the games industry, Vivendi have retained the rights to the name and so Monolith are challenging gamers to come up with a title for their game at nameyourfear.com. Entries close on June 22nd and the best will be put to a public vote on the same site. Unfortunately it seems that the contest is only open to US residents, which means I can’t enter. If anyone wants to use my idea (I reckon its pretty good) then email me at webmandrill(at)gmail(dot)com, and I’ll tell you what it is, first come first served gets the goods. (From IGN.com.)
