carbonapple_mono1024.jpgId and EA announced at Apples event at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2007 yesterday that they would be throwing more support behind OSX. Id led the way by giving a demonstration of their new engine, codenamed Tech 5, running on a Mac. John Carmack, co-founder of Id, also hinted at more news and announcements to come at E3.

EA has also announced that it will start producing games for Macs, starting this summer with C&C 3, Battlefield 2142, Need for Speed Carbon, and Harry Potter and the order of the Phoenix, with Madden ’08 and Tiger Woods ’08 for the Mac slated for release with all the other formats.
